imaging are game

Today we went back on imaging are game. we had to skip it to meet the paper prototype deadline.

For the last week and a half we've been working on are paper prototype. Today we finished and recorded are paper prototype.  The paper prototype only had one level of are game , but it got across the general idea of what the game will be about.

chose a topic

Today me and myles completed choosing a topic. I also fixed various problems on my project page, which were basically just so trpos in the coding. I also uploaded the flash part of the section on to the project page, and have finished by writing this blog.

Choosing a topic

Today was spent working on parts of choosing a topic. I got to the flash part of it and got about half way through. i filled in the entire text box and uploaded the file in both .fla and .swf

Finishing

We didnt spend the entire period in the computer lab so we didnt get as much done as we would have liked to. But we did finish filling in information on are topic from various sources.

finding information

Today was spent finding information regarding the Libyan civil war. More specifically the battle of misrata, one of the most gruesome battles fought. I found out that in misrata volunteers established a pizza delivery service taking on average 8,000 pizzas to the front a day.

The game

Today was spent brainstorming, Myles and I decided the on the Libyan civil war, more specifically the Battle of Misrata. The game would be from the stand point of either a forgien worker aiding the rebels, or an aid worker with the UN. It unclear how far in to the conflict the character will follow, but the game will end with the character leaving for home.

Finished a review

There wasn't really mush going on today. All I worked on was a review of the games we played.

Review

For the better part of class I worked on writing the Most and Least effective review. The most effective game was called Me Tycoon, it taught the importance of skills in a job or career.

gaming

For most of the class I played globaloria games. I one particular game I played was called me tycoon. It made me think more and more about my future.

Done

Ive finished my first minigame and i feel accomplished. the came includes an enemy and scoring. Its not much but its a start.

Non

I have nothing to blog about, I got nothing done and really hate wiki

Explorations

today i played a mini game about a hatian family and what kind of conditions they live in. I also brain stormed ideas for a mini game of my own, which will mostly likely be on an ongoing conflict in the world.

I met flash

Today I followed the appropriate steps and created a thikng using flash, it was a sort of rectangle with rounded edges the moved right off screen. The coding is a pain and it took forever to get the right symbols but i got it eventually.

Dangers of a single story

1. to have a single story about a community or place is to have a single impression or idea of a place
2. Sories ive heard about my community general lack the faults of are area
3. I was told stories about WSS by people making it sound like a ghetto
4. a game could include deatails about a place that are generally left out or not included in a single story

Its comin along

Well its are second class period with are blogs set up and im still working on it. I have linked to all my class mates that but up there blogs on there wiki's. Aside from that and a few gadgets thats about all ive completed

Im sorry to disappoint anyone who reads this thinking its my first blog post for it is not. I have blogged before but lack experience on it still. This blog will contain post on globaloria among other things. So will will just have to see what is said.
